She is a former sergeant, current commander serving in the Special Forces , and the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. Cassie made her debut in Mortal Kombat X , serving as one of the protagonists in the game's Story Mode. However, Sonya's perceived prioritization of work over her own family led them to divorce, much to Cassie's sadness. Being the daughter of a high-earning Hollywood actor, Cassie was somewhat spoiled, although her attitude changed after she was kidnapped by the Black Dragon. This experience convinced her to join the Special Forces, where she would be trained by both of her parents in combat.

Cassie Cage

Cassie Cage is a new character in Mortal Kombat X. Based on the recent story trailer released on February 27th , she leads a team of new characters, decendants of existing characters, through Outworld on a mission of unknown reasons. Cassie Cage borrows similar fighting techniques from her father and mother, but features a unique fighting style all her own.

She debuted in Mortal Kombat X as the daughter of Mortal Kombat champions Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage as she leads a new generation of combatants in the ongoing fight to protect Earthrealm from Shinnok and his forces. Cassie is featured as the main protagonist in the game's story mode and in DC Comics ' prequel comic series as a supporting character. The character has had a mainly positive critical reception for her personality, gender representation, and her Fatality finishing moves. Sub-Zero tells Cassie and her unit they will fail unless they work together as a team. Sonya sends the team to Outworld to locate Mileena , who has Shinnok 's amulet.
